Drawing Comfort for Young People

Is your child struggling with worries, big emotions, low confidence, or changes in behaviour that you don’t quite understand? Have you noticed them becoming withdrawn, anxious, angry, overwhelmed, or finding it difficult to talk about how they're feeling?
As parents and carers, it can be hard to know how best to help when your child seems unhappy or emotionally unsettled. Often, children and young people don't yet have the words to explain what is going on inside, and their feelings can come out in different ways at home or school.
I provide a calm and supportive space where children feel safe to build trust, express themselves, and feel truly heard and understood. Every child is unique, and I work gently at their pace, helping them explore their emotions in ways that feel natural and comfortable for them.
Drawing and Talking therapy helps children communicate emotions through drawing, storytelling, and supportive conversation. Sometimes children will share through a picture what they can't yet say out loud.
Sand Play offers children a safe and calming way to express their inner world using miniature figures and sand. Through play and imagination, children can explore feelings, relationships, fears, and experiences in a way that feels manageable and non-threatening.
My aim is for every child and young person to feel safe, valued, understood, and emotionally supported. Along with weekly wellbeing strategies to use between sessions, your child can develop greater self-understanding, gently build confidence, resilience, and emotional balance over time so they can begin to feel able to cope with the challenges they face.
