An invitation to women experiencing peri-menopause

I’m currently inviting women who live in and around the Norwich area to take part in a peri-menopause support pilot using Drawing and Talking therapeutic support.

This gentle, creative approach allows feelings and experiences to be explored without needing to find the “right words”, offering space to reflect, process, and feel heard in a safe, confidential setting.

One of the biggest misconceptions about Drawing and Talking is that you need to be “good at art”. You don’t. In fact, artistic skill is completely irrelevant.

This isn’t about creating impressive artwork or perfecting beautiful pictures. The quality of the drawing is never assessed, analysed for artistic merit, or judged in any way.

I’ll be honest, my own drawing skills include stick figures, simple shapes, scribbles. However, they all do the job. What matters is the willingness to put pencil to paper, allowing ideas and feelings to flow so they can be gently explored and processed in a safe and manageable way.

If you're curious and would like to find out more, you’re warmly invited to get in touch for a conversation by completing the contact form below.

There's no pressure or obligation - it would be lovely to hear from you.

Many women in their 40s and early 50s notice changes they can’t quite explain - disrupted sleep, heightened emotions, reduced confidence, brain fog, or a sense of no longer feeling like themselves. Many women assume they’re simply not coping and need to 'try harder'.

Peri-menopause - the years leading up to menopause - can affect emotional wellbeing, identity, relationships, and daily life just as much as it affects the body.

Giving yourself permission to take time to care for yourself is a valid and important response to these changes.
